Our Vision: Loved by Jesus, Loving Others

We are a gospel-centered faith family. Jesus has loved us so much by giving himself on the cross and rising from the dead to give us new life, that it permeates everything we are, everything we do and everything we want to do with him.

Gospel-centered Culture of West Church

• Multi-generational-because of Jesus love for us we respect our elders and value our youth. The young honor their elders and seek to understand them. The old enjoy the young and want them to thrive and serve in our church family.

• Growth oriented-because of Jesus’ great love for us we find ourselves willingly responding to him over and over. We willingly surrender new areas of our lives to him when we recognize our need to change. We also love those outside of our faith family and welcome them to come and see who Jesus is.

• Biblical-The Bible is our life-line that explains how much Jesus loves us. It also becomes our daily food, nourishing our relationship with him, confronting us and encouraging us in the walk of life. The Bible defines what His church is and is becoming.

• Faithful-Because Jesus loves us, we respond by being faithful to his call on our lives. Our relationship is a long journey, together over a lifetime, not a short sprint, a fleeting experience or a quick fix that we are trying to rekindle.

• Engaging/connecting with people-Because Jesus loves us so much, we long for others to experience Him through us. We are not better than others, just loved, so we can give freely and get involved with those who are different from us.

• Genuine/authentic/sincere-Jesus loves us so much that we don’t feel the need to hide or pretend to be something we are not. When we fall short, we model honesty and repentance as the pathway to freedom, transformation and true discipleship.

• Collaboration/cooperative-Because Jesus loves us so much, we are getting better at working together. We are a church of teams. We are only one faith family among many here on the North Shore together reaching our area with the love of Jesus.
